When was the last time you had stomach issues?
For some people, it might have been on their last trip out of the country when they got traveler’s diarrhea. But for other people, it is a weekly, or even constant occurrence.
I feel you.
The reason I became a dietitian was because I spent so long feeling terrible in my body. To be honest, I just thought it was normal to feel awful after eating out at a restaurant. I used to wake up with a headache every day that would get progressively worse and I didn’t understand why. No medications worked for me, it didn’t matter how much I slept or how many massages I got to release my muscle tension, I just felt sick all the time.
After a series of doctors and expensive medical tests that provided no results, I pursued less traditional treatment. After my first session with a holistic provider, she was able to identify some foods that were likely causing my symptoms. After removing those foods from my diet, my symptoms began to resolve, but it took many more years of decoding to figure out the effect of food on my body.
Learning about nutrition has been absolutely life changing for me. Not only did I alleviate my physical symptoms (bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, fatigue, brain fog, and chronic headaches) but I also significantly improved my mental health.
There is a path to living free from pain, discomfort, and fear around what foods are going to set you off. My goal is to help you learn how to naturally heal the gut and microbiome, restore your digestive function to a state of thriving, and learn how to use food as medicine. Reach out if this sounds like the kind of life you want to live.
