Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly, but I can provide you with a superbill for reimbursement. I am considered an “out of network provider” – a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist offering Medical Nutrition Therapy. I suggest you research your plan’s benefits and call your insurer to ask the following questions.
How much of the cost is covered for a nutrition session with an out-of-network provider?
Is there a difference in reimbursement between a nutritionist and a Registered Dietitian?
What is my deductible and how much of this deductible have I met?
What is my co-pay or co-insurance for nutrition sessions?
Is there a limit to how many sessions per year are covered under my plan? ***If you reside outside of California, ask how much of the cost is covered for an out-of-network provider offering Telehealth services from California.
